Presently Lawrence County DHR has approximately 70 foster care children. Unfortunately\, less than 30 families are available to offer assistance. Placement is often made during late hours\, done very quickly and safely\, and children are most often given a trash bag to hold their belongings. In efforts to help\, Moulton Head Start has partnered to provide luggage for children with desperate needs. Collection of small luggage items (suitcases\, travel bags with handles\, etc.) will be taken at the Moulton Head Start beginning Sept. 1st.
